9723583[1]Just like any theater company, we are broke. Of course that’s part of the fun. And part of our philosophy, really. We’re out to show the world that you don’t need money to create engaging theatre. At the same time, though, we want as many people as possible to experience our unique shows, and in order to widen our audience, we need support.

You can help in several ways. First and foremost:spread the word. Become a part of Grassroots by talking about us at work, at school, and with your family. Share pictures from our workshops, and invite people to come see our shows. You are our marketing force.

You can also donate costumes, set pieces, or props. Before taking a load to D. I., ask yourself if any of that stuff could find a home with Grassroots. Instead of letting buckets of old paint go to waste, send them our way. The actors in Shakespeare’s day furnished costumes and props out of their own stuff – you can easily help us do the same.

Finally, you can make a financial contribution. Everything we do, from workshops to advertising, costs money. If you can give us $5, $10, or $20 towards the Grassroots cause, please do. We offer our shows at a tiny fraction of typical ticket prices, making Shakespeare available to everyone. If this is something you can support, don’t hesitate.

To make a financial contribution, click the “DONATEt” button, or call 707-722-PLAY.
